Historical Piano Concerts’ 37th Spring season presents performances every Sunday in May. The concerts will include piano solo, piano with voice, with violin, and with clarinet, all with restored original pianos by important makers in Paris, Vienna, and Leipzig, ca. 1830 – 1877.
Sunday, May 28th features German Lieder and Fantasies: Jessica Gould, soprano with Kostja Kostic, clarinetist and Gail Olszewski, pianist. Streicher piano, Vienna, 1868. Songs and piano solo works by Mozart, Robert Schumann, Clara Schumann, Spohr, Gade and Wagner

Tours of the Frederick Historical Piano Collection, on which the concerts are based, are available by appointment, on non-concert days. The collection focuses on the kinds of pianos owned and played in concert by the great composers, letting modern musicians and listeners hear the music in its exciting true colors.
