Meet at Wachusett Reservoir Gate 39 – located at the intersection of South Meadow Road and Route 110 in Clinton. Click for directions.
This guided walk is about 1 mile along the North Dike to the Wachusett Dam in Clinton. This open hillside walk along the Wachusett Reservoir offers interesting views overlooking the 65 billion gallon reservoir. Points of interest will feature the history of the construction of this water supply that provides drinking water for over 3 million people.
Once you reach the dam, take some time to explore the area and return on your own. The walkway across the dam will be open for walking at 2:00 pm.
IMPORTANT NOTES: Overflow parking is available at Clinton High School. Dogs are not allowed on water supply protection lands. Heavy rain cancels.
