On Friday, May 29, the Icon Museum and Study Center will partner with the Clinton Historical Society to honor Gordon and Janet Lankton as founders of the museum and for their profound impact on the town of Clinton. Both were active in their local communities and supported a great number of organizations and charities.

Following the spirit of their generosity, the Icon Museum will offer free admission all day with extended hours until 5:30PM. Be sure to look for a one-day-only display on loan from the Clinton Historical Society highlighting Gordon’s contributions. At 5:30PM, we will formally name the Museum auditorium in Janet Lankton’s honor proceeded by a free piano recital given by Ekaterina Willewald, a returning museum favorite.

The evening’s events will conclude at the nearby Clinton Historical Society, located at 210 Church Street, where visitors can enjoy refreshments around the fireplace and view special displays of Gordon and Janet Lankton’s legacy in Clinton.
