This hands-on workshop explores drumming practices connected to the visual art, cultural artifacts, and musical instruments featured in our exhibition FESTIVAL: A Celebration of African Art at the Fitchburg Art Museum. Inspired by the music of Mali, West Africa, play African drums while you learn traditional rhythms straight from the source!
Participants of all ages and abilities are invited to attend. Advanced sign-up is required for this program and will be limited to 30 people.

TIME: 2 – 3 PM
LOCATION: Fitchburg Art Museum, 185 Elm Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420. The program will be held in the FAM Courtyard. In case of rain, it will be moved to an indoor gallery.
