This year is especially significant as our town prepares for 2025 and the ensuing 250th anniversary of those historic events. The 2025 Parade will be organized and directed by the Concord250 Parade Committee, an entity formed in 2024 that will work in conjunction with the Concord Public Ceremonies and Celebrations Committee to oversee and execute the Patriots’ Day Parade and Bridge ceremony.
The Town’s parade will be held on Patriots Day, Saturday, April 19, 2025 with step-off at 8:30 am. In light of the historic significance of this year’s 250th celebration of the start of the revolution, the parade is expect to be bigger and better than ever. More logistical details will be provided in the coming months.
Beginning in 2024, we are continuing a parade concept to convey the parade’s purpose and to help shape its participants:
Recognition of the dedication and sacrifice of all those who fought for independence on April 19, 1775; the establishment of a new nation; and the progress we have made and continue to make to preserve, protect, and expand the foundational principles of self-determination, equality, and liberty for all people.
Event Details
The Patriots’ Day Parade goes forward rain, snow or muck and covers a route of approximately 3.5 miles. The Parade steps off from the Hunt Gym on Stow St at 8:30 am.
At the North Bridge a wreath-laying ceremony is held to commemorate the engagement between the Minuteman companies and British troops on April 19, 1775. The parade continues across the North Bridge and returns to Concord Center, with Dignitaries participating from neighboring towns, the State, the nation, and foreign countries with ties to Concord.
