At this time of the year we often find ourselves thinking of all our lists of “presents to buy, things to be done and places to go.” The hustle and bustle of the season can be both daunting and overwhelming. On that note we invite into the peace and tranquility of The Shirley Meeting House on Sunday, December 3rd for our 20th Annual Candlelight Vespers Concert. The program will feature music, stories and poems that will give you a moment to pause and reflect on the true meaning of this season and the peace it offers to each of us.

The doors will open at 6:00 pm and you are invited in to sit back and enjoy tradition carols performed on our own Stevens Tracker Organ by Lois Toeppner. The Vespers program begins at 6:30 pm. After a few years without a full chorus 2023 will bring back The Meeting House Chorale under the direction of Bernard Crane and accompanied by pianist Elenye German. You will also be a part of the program as we invite you to lift your voice in the singing of some traditional carols. Following the program you are all invited to the Center Town Hall for warm cider, dessert and time with good friends and family. We look forward to seeing you.
