Join the Pepperell Conservation Commission and the Nashoba Conservation Trust as bird expert Tom Murray from Groton leads us on a casual walk through the Heald Street Orchard. We will enjoy many migrating species of birds, especially an amazing variety of warblers. Bring your binoculars and plan on arriving at 6:30 am to enjoy a cup of coffee and an assortment of breakfast pastries from Dunkin Donuts.
After the walk, head over to Lawrence Library to view an exhibit of vintage postcards featuring Pepperell landmarks, and the Victorian-era Shattuck Bird Collection.
This program is offered by the Pepperell Conservation Commission and Nashoba Conservation Trust as part of the Hidden Treasures Festival of Nature, Culture & History, an annual month-long celebration showcasing events and activities hosted by local partners celebrating the unique places, objects, and stories of the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area. Hidden Treasures programs are free and open to the public. Click to discover more Hidden Treasures!
