Bicentennial of Lafayette’s Farewell Tour Visits Arlington, MA

Join the Arlington Historical Society as they celebrate the 200th Anniversary of General Marquis de Lafayette’s iconic visit to West Cambridge!

In 1824, the esteemed General toured the United States, including Boston, West Cambridge (Arlington), Lexington, and Concord, to honor America’s fight for independence.

Sponsored by the Louise Ivers Education Fund and in partnership with the American Friends of Lafayette, this special event features:

  • A “meet and greet” with a Lafayette interpreter
  • FREE ADMISSION to the Jason Russell House
  • Light refreshments
  • A ONE-DAY ONLY special exhibit showcasing items from Lafayette’s historic tour
