Artist Adventures: Finding Nature Indoors

05.5.24 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Free

This exciting program on Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM invites families with kids of all ages to join a journey of discovery through the wonders of nature in our art collection!

Stop by the Museum’s front desk for a gallery exploration kit, including a pair of DIY paper binoculars to decorate, a Kraft notebook, and colored pencils, perfect for observing nature and animals in our paintings. A family-friendly gallery guide will be provided, including a scavenger hunt to discover specific details throughout the galleries.

Check back in at the front desk to share your completed adventure journals with Museum staff!

ACCESS & PARKING: The Museum is accessible and ready to welcome you! Feel free to bring walkers, wheelchairs, and scooters (manual wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis). Personal care attendants are admitted free. Service animals are always welcome. The Museum has two single-user, gender-neutral, accessible restrooms, located on the lower level, and a baby changing station is available.

While the Museum does not have its own parking, several nearby parking options are available. Street parking is free on the perimeter of Central Park on Union, Church, and Walnut Streets. An accessible parking spot is located directly in front of the Museum. Free public parking is located on Walnut Street between the First Congregational Church and the Baptist Church
