The 18th Annual Massachusetts History Conference Will Take Place on June 5, 2023
Professional Development and Networking for Historians and History Lovers Will Be In-Person Again
The Massachusetts History Alliance’s 18th Annual Massachusetts History Conference will be held Monday, June 5, 2023, from 8:30 am-5:00 pm. This year’s theme is Taking History to Town, which will include discussions, ideas, and best practices for community engagement. The conference will be a jam-packed day of sessions, workshops, and facilitated networking opportunities. Registration opens in mid-April.
This year, the conference will be held in person at Devens Common Center in Devens, Massachusetts. The keynote speaker will be Marieke Van Damme of History Cambridge. The 2023 Massachusetts History Conference is hosted by the Massachusetts History Alliance and supported by Mass Humanities and The State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB).
The Massachusetts History Alliance supports and advocates for all public history organizations and their work in Massachusetts by maximizing connections and cross-fertilization, and supporting skills development in the field of public history in Massachusetts. The annual conference is designed to be inspiring and educational for both paid and unpaid staff at history organizations of all sizes.
