Founded in 1960 with the mission of preserving the natural beauty and the rural character of Carlisle, Massachusetts, the Carlisle Conservation Foundation preserves open space that can be used for town recreation, conservation of land, wildlife and forestry corridors or the promotion of responsible development of real estate.
Many of the open spaces and prettiest landscapes in Carlisle have been made possible through CCF’s work, including the 31-acre Spencer Brook Reservation, the 14-acre Poole’s Swamp and the Bates Farm field near Kimball’s ice cream.
