Ayer Library

26 East Main Street, Ayer, MA

Incorporated by an act of Legislature on January 16, 1894, the Ayer Library holds a variety of historical collections that describe the history of Ayer and Devens (formerly Fort Devens), including photographs, maps, and documents. It houses a large and unique military collection which includes information on the Grand Army of the Republic of which many members were from the surrounding area.

There is an extensive genealogy collection as well as vital records, yearbooks, town reports, and every issue of the Ayer Public Spirit starting in 1869.
