One of Mass Audubon’s less visited sanctuaries, this 368-acre landscape offers opportunities to be alone with nature. Moose, bears, deer, bobcats and coyotes are among the interesting wildlife to be found here. Forests of red spruce and balsam fir offer a northern woods flavor. The grasslands are ecologically managed and support a variety of birds including bobolinks and Savannah sparrows.
Lake Wampanoag Wildlife Sanctuary is owned and stewarded by Mass Audubon.
