The newly reinstated Mason Historical Society is highlighting one of our many prominent historical figures, Captain Benjamin Mann. We’ll showcase the building that housed his tavern, where patriot supplies were said to have been stored. Captain Benjamin was an accomplished leader and Revolutionary War hero as well as the father in-law of Samuel Wilson, also known as Uncle Sam. Please join us and learn more about this Bunker Hill veteran and the men of Mason he led.
We will be at the Mann House at 16 Darling Hill Road in Mason, New Hampshire. If the weather is nice, pack a picnic, we have a gazebo and plenty of spots to enjoy.
This program is offered by the Mason Historical Society and Mason Public Library as part of the Hidden Treasures Festival of Nature, Culture & History, an annual month-long celebration showcasing events and activities hosted by local partners celebrating the unique places, objects, and stories of the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area. Hidden Treasures programs are free and open to the public. Click to discover more Hidden Treasures!
