Riverwalk 2023

May 6, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:15 pm

Free

Join us for a trail walk along the beautiful Nashua River that flows out of Wachusett Reservoir and through the Town of Clinton, Massachusetts. Enjoy flora and fauna along a trail forged by both animal and human walkers of all kinds. Animals spotted on previous walks include hawks, herons, turtles, garter snakes, deer, and fox. You get a nice view of what Clintonians call “High Bridge” which is a railroad bridge we will cross under.

Dress for the season: it can be buggy and especially wear tick-proof long pants (slippery nylon works well, while sweatpants are easy for ticks to cling to).  There is a shorter loop and a longer, more difficult loop. Allow 1 to 2 hours for the walk.

This conservation area is owned by the Town of Clinton and the Commonwealth and is open to the public. If you miss the walk, you can go any time. A rough trail map is available on our website at clintongreenway.org.

This program is offered by the Clinton Greenway Conservation Trust as part of the Hidden Treasures Festival of Nature, Culture & History, an annual month-long celebration showcasing events and activities hosted by local partners celebrating the unique places, objects, and stories of the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area. Hidden Treasures programs are free and open to the public. Click to discover more Hidden Treasures!
