Featuring plants described by Louisa May Alcott in her classic novel Little Women, the Little Women Garden at Orchard House includes a selection of old-fashioned perennials favored by Amy, Beth, Jo, and Meg in the novel. It was planted with support of the Garden Club of Concord and is maintained by volunteers.
The garden was expanded in 2020, when an accessible pathway was installed, unifying the site’s historic landscape. The new Little Women Garden provides a beautiful, hopeful spot for rest, contemplation, and joy.
